An Improved depiction of tropical storms and small scale winds are included in VP 2.0. Here the small scale winds around tropical storm Grace are depicted. Each barb on the wind flags represent 10 kts. A full flag is 50 kts. Note the drop in pressure on the Pressure Trace as Grace moves northward. This screen shot was made early in a simulation so that the spin up of the ocean wave field has not been completed hence wave heights are not shown.
