Text Box: Background Map Window  This window provides the basic background for the voyage. The boat’s position is indicated by a red circle. It’s track is indicated by a red line. It can be zoomed using the globe
button in the toolbar or by the quick zoom up button and quick zoom down button in the toolbar. This window automatically keeps the boat in view.  If you zoom down far enough black dots indicate individual 
days on the track. If you zoom down further the date for each black circle is indicated. Click the map itself for a larger view.

Toolbar
There are thirteen buttons available:

“Forward Button” – This is the same as the “Next Button” and continues the simulation. If you run aground or select a new waypoint you may need to use this button to restart the simulation.

“Sun Button”  – This button zooms the weather map window using a rubber box. A new window will appear.    Move the 
  cursor to the upper left corner of the domain you want to have.  Drag and drop the mouse (hold down the left mouse button) to the lower right hand corner then release.  The new domain will be drawn.

“Globe Button” – This button zooms the background map using a rubber box. A new window will appear.  Move the cursor to the upper left corner of the domain you want to have.  Drag and drop the mouse (hold down the left mouse button) to the lower right hand corner then release.  The new domain will be drawn. You can continue this procedure to refine your domain or restore to original map.

“Sail Boat Button “ – This button allows you to select a new waypoint or define a new voyage segment.  For example, after you have reached your original destination you can simply 
choose another way point or you may decide to lay over at your destination. If you wish to lay over select “New Voyage Segment” .  This allows you to choose another date or weather window to leave this intermediate destination.  You also have an opportunity to refill your fuel and water tanks.

“Binocular Button” – This button allows you to view future weather maps.  For example, select winds in the weather map
