Text Box: the mouse (hold down the left mouse button) to the lower right hand corner then release.  The new domain will be drawn. You can continue 
this procedure to refine your domain or restore to original map.  For 
pleasing visual results, it is recommended that you try to maintain an aspect ratio so that the East/West size is greater (perhaps by twice) to keep distortion of land maps at a minimum.

This domain is also used for the weather maps and backgrounds in subsequent windows. Close this window to return to the  Begin Voyage 
window.

Starting and ending positions can also be selected on the nautical charts using Force9. See page 24 for a description of how to use charting


Screen 5.   Select Date 

This screen allows the user to select the starting date for the voyage. Select the “Month” and “Day” to begin the voyage.  If the data is not available on the drive selected  a message box will appear allowing you to browse to find the data.  VP remembers this selection so you  do not have to do this every time. Next click the button “Show Weather Maps” to show the weather maps.  You may have to re-enter  the dates in this screen after browsing.  After a slight pause to read the data ,the weather for this day at the starting position is displayed.  You can re-select a day to choose a different start day. Remember, the only weather you can control on a voyage is the weather you choose to start a voyage. After the dates are selected, click the “Next”  button.

		
Screen 6.    The Wait Screen

This screen is shown while the initial data and simulation screen is loaded. Don’t fret, the actual simulation runs as fast as you want.

Screen 7.    The Simulation

This is the main screen.  Start the simulation by clicking the Forward Button on the Toolbar.  Before starting you may want to familiarize yourself with the display screen.
