Text Box: select starting position button then moving the cursor to the desired starting point. Click this point. Next select the destination button. Then move the cursor to the Azores and click. A Great Circle route and a Rhumbline route are drawn. You may select to follow a Rhunbline or Great Circle Course. This will be used later to determine bearing to way point. Click Next.

The next screen allows you to pick a date. Select a starting date from the list. Make sure that you have previously unzipped the appropriate months so that they are available. If the data to be used is in a different directory than you have previously used then you may be prompted to enter a correct path. For example if you used the default directory in the unzipping process (c:19xx) then select the path to be “c:”.  After getting the prompt to select path you may have to re-select the dates. 

You will now see the weather at the starting point displayed. You may also select to view weather maps. You can change the dates to find a better starting weather or look ahead. If you are satisfied with your start date then click Next. 

A Wait Screen will appear. After the data is loaded, the main simulation screen will appear. Familiarize yourself with the screen and toolbar by passing cursor over the toolbar to see tags. You may want to head the boat in the direction toward the way point before starting the simulation. Once you are set you can start the voyage by clicking the forward button in the toolbar.

You are now underway.  You can steer boat, trim sails and watch the 
waether. At the end of 24 hours a Ship’s Log will show progress. If you want to see this at anytime use the toolbar to view ships log. If you don’t want to see the log at the end of each 24 hrs then use the Options tab to stop showing log.

You can steer the boat toward the way point by steering a course  given by  the display – bearing to the way point. 

Once you reach the destination (or within the selected radius) you will be given three options.  First is to end the voyage. Second you can continue without a new way point or you will can continue by selecting a new way point. For a new way point you will be taken back to the select new way point screen. You may continue to another way point directly or you can lay over and get  fuel and water supplies by selecting a New Voyage Segment. With a new voyage segment you can fill your tanks and select a new starting date.
